Six Ways From Sunday

To all those celebrating holidays recently, and in the near future, I say “Happy Holidays”.  It’d be a bit presumptuous to think that everyone celebrates Christmas.  Not all of humanity does, in spite of what incessant advertising and several trees’ worth of fliers in our Sunday newspaper editions tell us.  There’s certainly more religions celebrating, and beliefs and traditions celebrated, during this time of year than just Christmas.  So, to all of you who may be celebrating now, whatever your holiday is, I wish you all Happy Holidays!  May they bring peace and health to you and yours.

My songs of the day are:

“Heaven Beside You” by Alice In Chains

“The Great Gig In The Sky” by Pink Floyd

” I Say A Little Prayer” by Dionne Warwick

“Jesus Is Just Alright” by The Doobie Brothers

“Six Ways From Sunday” by Mofro

“Save A Prayer” by Duran Duran

“O My God” by The Police

“Houses of the Holy” by Led Zeppelin

“I Can’t Wait To Meetchu” by Macy Gray

“Lord Raise Me Up” by Matisyahu

  5. I live in a politically correct to the point of dysfunction culture. Having had a bereavement this year, no one will send me New Year’s greeting cards or say Happy New Year. It is very tricky because of the religious issue but if someone wishes me something, I’ll wish it right back. We are a community and embracing the differences is a pleasant part of the exchange. xo
