This week’s One Word Photo Challenge from Jennifer Nichole Wells is for the word:

Our photos can be literal, something that reminds us of the word, or something you use the word for.  Really, whatever we want it to be.  Here’s my take on it:

Home, blanketed in snow:

Papa’s farm, blanketed in fog:

New Orleans staple, blanketed in stickers:

Boys, blanketed in ponchos…not that they’ll melt, mind you:

Sliding…on a blanket:

Oh, and one significant side note, on this date, in 1945, Mr. Eric Clapton began his trips around the sun.  He’s had numerous incarnations over the years, from Derek and The Dominoes, to The Yardbirds, to Cream, to an illustrious solo career resulting in numerous collaborations with some of the biggest names in rock.  He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 3 times: once as a member of The Yardbirds, once as a member of Cream, and, in 2000, as a solo artist.  So, Happy Birthday to, arguably, one of the greatest guitarists in rock history.

My songs of the day are:

Footprints” by Paul McCartney

Cover of the Rolling Stone” by Dr. Hook

Layla (Unplugged)” by Eric Clapton

Lonely Girl” by Lucinda Williams

Unmade Bed” by Sonic Youth

Details In The Fabric” by Jason Mraz

Lay Down Sally” by Eric Clapton

Under A Blanket Of Blue” by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong

Dream All Day” by The Posies

Cover Me” by Bruce Springsteen
