  3. You know what I just found out? New Orleans close to Mississippi river?!

    • Yep, the city is shaped like a crescent, bound on one side by the Mississippi and the other by Lake Ponchetrain. Add the canals and levees to the fact that it’s below sea level in large sections, and it’s easy to see why it flooded during Katrina. Once those levees failed, it was curtains.

  6. I really like the 7970 photo here, it has a really interesting impact on the landscape, I think it’s my fave of the bunch.
