  2. I’m not sure if I ever asked… What are you photographing with? Camera? Phone? We’ve been considering getting a good camera, but our phone photos are usually pretty damn good… Got any suggestions?

    • I use a couple different things. My phone (don’t laugh, it’s my wife’s old iphone4), my wife’s phone (an iPhone 6), a Nikon Coolpix, my baby: a Nikon DSLR with multiple lenses and filters, and occasionally I still use an old Leica medium format. I’m a Nikon guy, but some others are Canon people. Both are great. You can get a really nice Coolpix or Nikon 3300 DSLR with a 18-55mm lens, and maybe a package deal of a 55-200mm lens as well, for between$300-600. Phones are pretty darn good nowadays though. And plenty of apps for editing out there.

      • I have taken some really great pix with my iPhone. But it totally craps out in night light or concert light. That’s when I wish I had a decent camera…

      • A decent point and shoot is good for concerts. Can’t be too obvious at most anymore. The camera police are constantly prowling at some of these shows now.

      • Yeah, true. One of my girls had to leave her camera at a check in site when we saw 21 pilots last month. My phone pix are awful tho!๐Ÿ˜ž

      • There are options to increase your stealthiness while getting better shots. Check out some of Nikons smaller point and shoots. Some are very thin, smaller than a phone even, that’ll get you some good low-light shots. I’m sure Canon makes some too. God, I love camera shopping! Wish I could tag along. I’d recommend going to an actual camera shop instead of target or Wally World. You’ll get actual assistance with questions at a good camera place. Happy hunting. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
