Time for another round of Share Your World from Cee’s Photography.

This time, though, there’s a bit of a twist:

For the next three weeks the questions are from kids. The Happy Quitter wrote me this weekend and told me about her workshop she does for neighborhood kids and the some of the kids had some suggestions for the Share your World challenge. I realize there are more than 4 questions so feel free to answer all or only 4 questions.

Here are the kids’ questions for the week:

A class you wish you would have taken?

Spanish!  I took four years of French in high school and two years in college.  It’s proven to be largely useless, except to impress  my wife every now and then.  😃

What’s your favorite comic figure and why?

Batman.  One word: Batmobile!

What’s not to love?

Name something you wish you could like.

Honestly, I can’t come up with a thing.  I take part in the things I do love, and there’s a bunch.  Though I do sometimes feel like the only person on the planet who doesn’t like watermelon.

Tell me about your first crush / first date / first kiss.

My first crush was a little blonde in second grade.  I don’t remember her name though.  It’s been way too many years ago now.  I can sorta picture her face, but her name is long gone.

My first date was in 6th grade, 1978, as much as anyone could “date” at that age.  We all met to see Rocky Horror Picture Show on Halloween night.

Her name was Tracy, and we held hands all night.  I brought all the supplies for the movie (spray bottles, newspaper, toilet paper, rice, toast) for the both of us.

And the answer to the next part of the question?  My first “real” kiss happened on the same night.

Who was your best friend when you were 10?

His name is Jason, and we are still friends today.  We don’t see each other nearly as often these days, as family and jobs and us having moved out of the city years ago have all limited our ability to do so.  But we are both part of a large group that has season football tickets to our alma mater, so we see each other a lot during the season.

What sign are you? Do you believe in astrology?

I’m a Sagittarean, and, yes, I believe in astrology.  If you read about the characteristics of each sign, they’re usually very accurate.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

During the past week, I’m grateful for the continued good recovery of my father-in-law.  So far so good.

In the coming week, I’m looking forward to some quality time with my wife and boys.  The boys are on Fall Break all next week.  We are taking some time off with them.  No major trips planned, but we are gonna do several cool things locally, namely a camping trip for a couple of days to Mammoth Cave National Park.
