  1. There is something so endlessly fascinating about the ruins of somewhere. It makes you wonder what it would have looked like in all its glory.

  3. Okay, this is terrible… but my first thought was… shall I contribute a photo of my life?

Like Meg, I love ruins and abandoned buildings. I’m sure that means something about me but I’m not sure what…

  4. There is something hauntingly beautiful about ruins. I and my family sometimes go Bradgate Park in Leicestershire (where I am from) and have a walk through the ruins of Bradgate House, where Lady Jane Grey was born. We find something different on every visit.

  5. I so want to visit these ruins. They have been on my bucket list for a long time. Great images. Thanks for joining the challenge!

    • They’re amazing. Not real safe to drive to now though. We were on a trip to Cancun and rented a Jeep, three hour drive into the jungle. I’ve heard it’s recommended to not go solo but to stick with a tour bus. It really is in the middle of nowhere.

  6. I’ve always wanted to see those sites. Unfortunately I am less prone to travel outside the country than most. Sigh! Maybe one day!

    • That trip to Chichen Itza was many years ago. We were in Cancun and rented a Jeep for the 3 hour drive into the jungle. Don’t know that I’d do the same currently. Probably not exceptionally safe. The things you do when young and dumb. Glad we had the experience though. 😃
