Time for this week’s edition of Share Your World from Cee’s Photography.

Here are Cee’s questions for the week:

What was your favorite subject in school?

My favorite subject was always history.  US History, World History, Ancient Civilizations.  I liked them all.  Even in college, I tried to take history classes as much as I could to satisfy my Humanities electives.  I’m still a history buff and many of my favorite shows are history related.

If you could have a servant come to your house every day for two hours, what would you have them do?

Thats tough.  Living in the country, in a house my wife once described as “like living in a colander”, having three….energetic….boys, a dog, the thought of having someone to dust and vacuum and sweep would be fantastic.

Our laundry accumulates like rabbits, as do dishes.  So either of those would be a great task to have done for me.

But, two hours every day?  I’d have somebody make dinner.  That would be a gift from above.  To have dinner a) prepared for us and b) having the menu chosen for us, sounds devine.  The daily drag of debating what to have, then finally getting to the task of making it, once everyone is home from work or archery practice or band practice or whatever, becomes tedious, to say the least.  Ridding myself of that task daily would be wonderful.

Where did you live when you were in the third grade of school? Is it the same place or town you live now?

In the third grade, I lived in Louisville, KY.  I grew up in an old and well-established section of town just outside the city center, called Crescent Hill.  No, I don’t live in Louisville any longer, we bought our farm 17 years ago.  We are located roughly 35 miles southeast of the city, but we both still work in the city.  Both my wife and myself have lived other places, but Kentucky is home for us both.

In your opinon, list some places that are great for shopping?

I’m not a big fan of shopping, in the traditional terms at least.  I avoid any mall like the plague, hate giving Walmart one cent of my money, and, despite my wife trying to convince me otherwise, I’m not impressed by Target.

My favorite “store” is Lowe’s or Harbor Freight.  I’m a fan of REI, Cabela’s, or my local outfitter, Quest Outdoors.

As for “shopping”, I prefer peddler’s malls, junk stores, antique malls, yard sales, and thrift.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Well, I’ll say one thing about last week: Go Cubs Go!!!

As for what I’m looking forward to in the next week?  I’ll be ever sooooooo happy when 6:00p.m. Tuesday, November 7, has come and gone.  That said, everyone, please get out and vote!  We can create the change.

My songs of the day are:

“Gone Till November” by Wyclef Jean

“Washing Dishes” by Jack Johnson

“Gris-Gris Gumbo Ya Ya” by Dr. John

“Dirty Work” by Steely Dan

“Shake, Rattle, and Roll” by Big Joe Turner

“Another One Bites The Dust” by Queen

“Electioneering” by Radiohead

“Cookin'” by Pete Townsend

  6. My girlfriend was half joking about starting a catering business, sorda of like ‘meals on wheels’. Her main entrees were going to be “I don’t know, I don’t care and whatever.” 😊 If only there was a super cereal that would actually satiate the appetite.😊
