Time for this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography.

Here are Cee’s questions for the week:

Are you a traveler or a homebody?

A little of both.  I HAVE to travel periodically (on a regular basis, actually), or I get kinda grumpy.  I love to explore and discover, meet and engage, and generally see life from a different point of view, both literally and existentially.

That said, there’s no place like home, for me at least.  Our place is our sanctuary from the chaotic craziness of the outside world.  Our refuge.  Once the gate is closed, everything else seems to disappear.

Having that security and safety net, that warm fuzzy, sense of belonging, is something I longed for, for most of my life.  I’m blessed, and oh so grateful to the universe for providing me the winding, unusual path that led me there.

What kind of TV commercial would you like to make? Describe it.

In the style of Mr Subliminal, Kevin Nealon’s  character from SNL:

Describe yourself in a word that starts with the first letter of your name.

Well, my first name begins with an A, and I had a bit of trouble comin’ up with a good one beginning in that letter.  But I came up with a few:

Adventurous, authentic, affable, amusing, abnormal, and accepting.

List some fun things for a rainy day.

Messing around in the studio, playing games, reading, organizing photos, all with music in the backdrop.  Oh, and sex.  Sex on a rainy afternoon?  Extra special good.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

From last week, I’m grateful to have watched my oldest turn 14.  It’s been quite a trip watching him grow and mature and become the cool dude he is.

In the next week, we are hopeful for a successful outcome of heart surgery for my father-in-law.  Not gonna be a traditional Thanksgiving for us this year, as it will be just the boys and I.  But I’m thankful that my wife will be able to provide her expertise in her dad’s pre and after care, following a major league procedure.  Thanksgiving takes a backseat to that.

My songs of the day are:

“Baby Come On Home” by Led Zeppelin

“Home” by Marc Broussard

“Can I Go Home With You” by Muddy Waters

“Home Again” by Michael Kiwanuka

“Can’t Find My Way Home” by Blind Faith

“Down Home Blues” by Etta James & Otis Redding

“Home At Last” by Steely Dan

“Lights Are On But Nobody’s Home” by Albert Collins

  7. Good luck and speedy healing to your FIL! And Thanksgiving is the day you celebrate together – not the day society says you have to sit and eat turkey!
