Time for this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography.

Here are Cee’s questions for this week:

If you lost a bet and had to dye your hair a color of the rainbow for a week, what color would it be?

If it were for a bet, or a dare even, it’d be all out, full-on rainbow, ala the dude at big sporting events in the 70’s and 80’s:

If you could choose one word to focus on for 2017, what would it be?

Hope.  Hope for sanity, peace, less animosity, for good health, and that my fine country isn’t completely fucked up by the time June rolls around.

What was one thing you learned last year that you added to your life?

Reinforcement, yet again, of the notion that life is short, to count my blessings, not to be sad that something is over, rather be happy that it happened, and to live life in the moment, while enjoying every second.

If life was ‘just a bowl of cherries’… which fruit other than a cherry would you be..?

Pineapple.  Sweet and acidic at once.  And, pineapple upside down cake, hello!

Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

From last week, I’m grateful for an easing up of the bitter cold and straight-line winds we had for a while there.  It’s been very mild this week, even though it’s rained every day this week, with more on the way.

Also, very grateful we missed the ice storm that mercifully stayed north of us.  Ice storms have crippled us several times in past years, including being without electricity for weeks at a time, so while I feel for those affected, I’m glad I’m not one of them.

In the coming week, looking forward to an end to the aforementioned rain, which has been a relentless sidekick to the warmer air.  While we don’t have snow and ice, farm living + days of rain = sometimes-crippling mud.

Mud is more difficult to deal with than snow in many ways.  The warm temps have just exacerbated the issue with thawed ground following 10 days of hard freeze.  Can’t have it all, I suppose.

My songs of the day are:

“A Day In The Life” by The Beatles

“Mud Slide Slim” by James Taylor

“Blinded By Rainbows” by The Rolling Stones

“Hopeful” by Josh Ritter

“A Life of Illusion” by Joe Walsh

“Rainbow” by Robert Plant

“Believe In Life” by Eric Clapton

“I Hope This Whole Thing Didn’t Frighten You” by The Hold Steady

  2. Why is the hope for the country not being fucked up by June? Is there something significant about June (other than my birthday 😛 )? Oh, is that when the impeachment trials would be complete? 😀 😀

  3. That is one of my favourite Beatles songs. On a random note I was once given an office gift. It was a plant. I called him Robert 😉
