Don’t Let The Dream Die

In this current climate, both politically and socially, it would certainly behoove us all to remember what had been fought for, persevered through, and that had inspired an entire generation into action against injustice.

The notion of history repeating itself has been on full display over the past few months.  Hopefully, history is repeated in another, more positive manner.  Who’s the next Dr. King, Bobby Kennedy, or Nelson Mandela?  The next great inspiration, to lead this generation into action.  We could use someone of that ilk today.

While history certainly repeats itself, we should never, ever stop trying, caring, acting, and, above all, hoping.   The sacrifices made by so many in the past should not be made in vain, now more than ever.

  4. Thank you for the thoughtful and eloquent write on this day of honoring Dr. MLK. It is obvious we have moved backward rather than forward in the fight against bigotry, racism, misogyny, and elitism. It is discouraging but hopefully love Trumps hate.
