Time for this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography.

Here are Cee’s questions for the week:

Regarding your fridge, is it organized or a mess inside?

Well, I’m married to a Virgo, so it’s usually organized….right after the twice monthly grocery runs, at least.  However, the 4 males in the house (myself included, of course) don’t keep it that way for long.  With 3 growing boys, all in the throes of puberty, the fridge gets more traffic than the Dan Ryan Expressway at rush hour, so within a couple days of being organized, it looks a bit disheveled.

Do you prefer your food separated or mixed together?

I’ve never minded food touching each other or even being blended together on my plate.  I don’t need to eat each food individually either.  I’m generally a bite-of-this-a-bite-of-that kinda guy.

Do you prefer reading coffee table books (picture), biographies, fiction, non-fiction, educational?

I prefer reading non-fiction or history-related books.  I’m a bit of a history buff, and I find those “forks in the road” decisions that changed history, or could have altered it if a different decision had been made, riveting.

I’ve always found biographies fascinating as well, and they will usually surprise me in some way, either negatively or positively.  We tend to have preconceived notions of who notable people are or what their personalities are like, but often those notions are inaccurate.

Close your eyes. Listen to your body. What part of your body is seeking attention? What is it telling you?

I don’t need to listen closely.  It’s yelling at me this morning: my head.  It’s self-induced, after a fine meal, a sunset at the beach, then a few cocktails around a fire last evening.  I didn’t necessarily howl at the moon, though it was huge and bright last night.  But, evidently I imbibed enough to have this undesired effect.

Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

From last week, I’m grateful to have had a short week, culminating in a trip to the Gulf coast for a long weekend, which we are still in the midst of.  A little family, a little seafood, a Mardi Gras parade in Ocean Springs, a little sand and salt, a little King Cake, and, as previously mentioned, a little cocktailing, is good for what ails ya’.

In the coming week, I’m looking forward to a safe trip home and another short work week, as we won’t come home until Tuesday.  A short work week is ALWAYS worth a little gratitude.

My songs of the day are:

“Mama Gri-Gri” by Alain Chamfort

“Meet Me In The Alleyway” by Steve Earle

“Take Me To The Mardi Gras” by Paul Simon

“What I Really Mean” by Robert Earl Keen

“Ash Wednesday” by Harry Connick, Jr.

“USS Zydecoldsmobile” by Jimmy Buffett

“New Orleans” by Stevie Nicks

“I’m The Zydeco Man” by Clifton Chenier

  4. Looks lovely. My fridge is pretty organised but your wife sounds a tidier Virgo than me. Know you probably get these all the time but you are one of my fave blogs and i think you’re great. No worries if you’re too busy and all that

  6. I liked a lot of your interesting answers! I think it is nice to be organized at least most of the time.
I am one who enjoys spontaneity.
My favorite singers are Paul Simon and Stevie Knicks. I like Harry Connick, Jr. on his own variety show. 😀
