Time for this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography.

Here are Cee’s questions for this week:

Have you ever participated in a distance walking, swimming, running, or biking event? Tell your story.

We’ve participated in numerous walks over the years.  In particular, we do the Autism Awareness Walk (my oldest is autistic) and the March of Dimes Walkathon (our twins were preemies and each spent time in the NICU) nearly every year since having kids.  My wife tries to go to Seattle each year for the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, and I’ve gone with her twice, to support her best friend, a breast cancer survivor.

Name one thing not many people know about you.

I can juggle.  There are only maybe 7 people that have ever actually seen me do it though.

What is your favorite flower?

Hydrangeas.  My favorite are the blue, but they’re all fantastic.

Big and lush and full of blooms

…and unkillable with little to no maintenance required.  Perfect.

Things I want to have in my home (paintings, hot tubs, book cases, big screen tv etc)

Love, comfort, trust, my family and friends, and more love.  Materially?  My music, my photos, and my various collections.  “My name is SOB…and I have a junking problem…”

Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

From last week, I’m grateful for no severe damage from big-time storms that blew through here.

One even produced a tornado warning, hunkering us down for about 45 minutes and pelting us with marble sized hail for a bit.  All’s well that ends well.

In the coming week, I’m looking forward to the picking out and ordering of a new sofa.  We’ve suffered through with a once-nice (i.e. before kids) leather sectional for years now.  We didn’t want to get a great new couch then have 3 rambunctious toddlers/pre-teens jumping and spilling and generally destroying it.  So, we waited.  Finally, the time has come.  They’ll probably still destroy it, but I can’t take it anymore.

By the way, to all who celebrate today, may it be a beautiful day filled with family and love.

Happy Easter

My songs of the day are:

“Walk Straight Down The Middle” by Kate Bush

“On The Couch” by Prince

“Sugar Buzz” by kd lang

“Home” by Marc Broussard

“Easter” by Patti Smith

“Couch Surfin'” by The Reverend Horton Heat

“Sunday” by Iggy Pop

“Walk” by The Foo Fighters

  1. We’ve talked about this before… Hydrangeas are also my favorite. My ex-bf from college was an amazing juggler! I tried so hard… but I suck at it. I had gotten slightly better at one point, but I’ve long since lost it… 🙂

  4. I love hydrangeas! I had a stunning blue/purple one until last season. Tried to transplant it and killed it instead. Waaaah! I am glad you weren’t affected by the storms – that’s scary!

  7. I can’t really juggle. I get the concept, but after 2-3 rounds it becomes aerobic as I’m chasing objects around the room trying to catch them. 🙂

Years ago I worked for a hotel and one of the clerks would juggle rolls of TP to entertain guests if there was a long line. 🙂

Dunno if I have a fave flower but the hubs got me into lilacs. We’ve planted two at our house.
