Time for this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography.

Here are Cee’s questions for this week:

When writing by hand do you prefer to use a pencil or pen?

In a previous life, I graduated with a degree in accounting.  When I was in that career, it’s likely the only writing utensil I used was a mechanical pencil.

Now, in a second career, and one that requires all documentation be in black ink, I always seem to have a black pen on me.  And just a basic clicker ball point pen, preferably a bit wider to fit my hand comfortably.  Too skinny doesn’t work for me.  And no gel.  Smears can’t happen on medical documents.

Would you rather be an amazing dancer or an amazing singer?

Easy: singer.  Preferably on stage and with a guitar.

If you were on a debate team, what subject would you relish debating?

I’d say politics, but I wouldn’t be able to hold my tongue past a certain point.  Any debate that results in mudslinging and potential smacks to someone’s  head is probably one I should avoid.

So, I’ll go with environmental protection, stewardship, and the merits of, and need for, renewable energy.

What are you a “natural” at doing?

Golf, being a dad, whitewater kayaking, and/or, my wife would say, at least, being behind a camera.

Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

From last week, I’m thankful for the official end to the archery season….well, for my boys at least.  The team fared well enough at the State Tourney 2 weeks ago to qualify for the Nationals.  There are a limited number of slots that can shoot at this one though, and were mostly taken up by the eighth-graders.  So, while there are still a couple more practices, the tourney grind has mercifully closed for us.  That was a long season, and many miles were logged, and asses were numbed, by wooden bleachers in the process.

In the coming week, we’re hopeful for a successful heart surgery for my wife’s step-mom on Tuesday.  Yes, this is the second heart issue from Apalach in a year.  Last year, at about this time actually, her dad had his odyssey begin.  Now it’s her turn, unfortunately.  As their POA, my wife is with them this week, in Tallahassee. We’re hoping her results are as great as his were.  And that the boys and I  survive the week without mom here.  😃

My songs of the day are:

“Heartbreaker” by Alabama Shakes

“Heart of Gold” by Neil Young

“Heart To Hang Onto” by Pete Townshend and Ronnie Lane

“Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart” by Chris Cornell

“Pencil Pusher” by Funeral for a Friend

“Always There…In Our Hearts” by The Flaming Lips

“Heart In A Cage” by The Strokes

“Heartbeat” by The Fray
