This week’s 52 Weeks Photo Challenge from The Girl That Dreams Awake is for the topic:

MOVEMENT

Here’s my take on it:

Skimming the surf:

Running man…er, pirate, that is:

Go deep!:

Suspended movement:

Fish finding:

My songs of the day are:

“Bless This World” by Buckingham-McVie

“Turn Your Lights Down Low” by Bob Marley and The Wailers

“Under The Milky Way” by The Church

“Good Planets Are Hard To Find” by Steve Forbert

“The Underside of Power” by Algiers

“Retreat” by Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings

“Shine On Me” by Dan Auerbach

“You Could Be Happy” by Snow Patrol

  2. I love that song by The Church. When I was MUCH younger, I saw the band in a dive of a club. We stayed after the place cleared out and the band came out and had drinks with us at the bar. I still have a drumstick somewhere… 🙂

  5. My Favourite…”just keep swimming….” (from Finding Nemo)
I think about it everyday….keep on swimming….In my case, running, moving, going forward….
Mmm yep, summer I like white water rafter with the kids. The wilder, the better, with my son safely in the middle.

    • White watering is terrific! Been doing it since I was about 13. I was hooked. I always use my own kayak though. All the rivers and white water I’ve done, but I’ve never done it in a raft. I never trusted relying on others, especially those who are first-timers. 😃

      • trust issues…? 🙂
The good part is that when you do more challenging ones, they require people who have experience.

      • Meh. I’ve paddled the New, the Gauley, the Colorado, the Snake, the Ocoee, etc. I am just fine on Class IV-V water. I’m 48 now, so after, what, 35 years of doing it in my own boat, I see no reason to try with 5 other people. Trust issues? Definitely. Need others to get me down river? Definitely not. 😃

      • I don’t have much say in it. It’s an addiction. 😃

      • I know I am talking to a pro!

      • Hahaha! Yeah, I wish!!! I’d love to get paid to travel the world and run the wildest rivers in the world for photo shoots and competitions. That’d be fantastic. But, sadly, I am not a pro. I’m experienced, but I still make mistakes and do stupid shit and get caught in hydraulics and backwash. I just love doing it and have for a long time now. It’s taking a toll on my shoulders though, as I get older. I’ll keep doing it as long as I can though. The adrenaline is addictive. 😃
