This week’s One Word Photo Challenge from Jennifer Nichole Wells Photography is for the topic:

Over the years, I’ve been to many, many islands.  From the Caribbean to the Gulf Coast, from the Pacific Northwest to the Atlantic coast.  From the South Pacific to the Mediterranean.  They are all fantastic in their own ways.  But sometimes, a place just grabs ahold of your soul, and becomes “your place”.  The kind of place you daydream about, can’t wait to get back to, and even plan to retire to.  For me, for us, that place is Ocracoke Island, NC.

Here’s my take on it:

My songs of the day are:

“Islands” by Young The Giant

“Desert Island” by The Magnetic Fields

“Island” by Meat Puppets

“In The Middle Of An Island” by B.B. King

“Leave This Island” by Maximo Park

“Out Of The Island” by Graham Nash

“Back To The Island” by Jimmy Buffett

“Islands” by King Crimson
