Time for this week’s Share Your World from Cee ‘s Photography.

Here are Cee’s questions for the week:

Would you rather take a 2 week vacation with an organized tour or take a cruise of your choice?

I’m not into “organized” when on a trip…like, at all.  Wing it and go with the flow is how we vacation, so being on a tour, group or individual, is something I will always pass on.  I’m not a fan of cruises either.  Too many people in a confined space for my taste.

That said, of the two options presented to me, I’d take the cruise.   At least I’d have some ability to escape onto, and freedom to explore, the island(s) that the ship stopped at.

Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing?

I did like swings as a kid, at the playground, from a tree, and tire swings.  We used to see how high we could swing and then launch ourselves from it in a timely meeting of arc and velocity, soaring through the air briefly before crashing back to earth.  It’s as close to flying as I’d ever felt, until trying hang gliding years later, that is.

Rope swings are cool too, and there was a terrific one at Rough River Lake, where we’d spend a large portion of the summer months.  High in a tree lurching over a 30-40′ bluff.  It would pucker you standing up there and thinking about swinging out over the water at that height, but it was a rush and a half when in the midst of the swing out, and the free-fall into the lake below.  Word to the wise though, guys, if you ever try this activity, no matter where in the world it may be, always remember: protect the sack.  Just sayin’.

What is the most important thing that you ever learned ? (I bet it’s not something you learned in school)

To be open to any and all possibilities, and to treat all possibilities with equal validity until proven otherwise.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

I’d had a bit of a….rough….couple of weeks lately.  Inspired wasn’t a word I would’ve used in conjunction with myself.  Quite the opposite, actually.  However, I feel better recently.  Attributed to what?  Not really sure.  But, I know that the people here have certainly helped, and there’s a core of y’all that really are a go-to for me.  I can’t tell you how appreciated you guys are.  Y’all helped inspire me this week.  Thank you.  😊

  1. First, hang gliding? Always wanted to. Flying in a swing my fave activity as a kid, third rope swing advice, hilarious.

Glad your cough is better but if it keeps up, check out the signs of esophageal cancer…sorry about the bummer comment, but it’s a horrid sneaky disease.
