This week’s Black and White Photo Challenge from Cee’s Photography is for the topic:
ABANDONED OR ALONE
Here’s my take on it:
Alone:
Abandoned:
Abandoned and alone:
Abandoned:
Alone:
My songs of the day are:
“Abandoned Love” by Bob Dylan
“Wake Up Alone” by The Chainsmokers
“Seduced And Abandoned” by The Magnetic Fields
“Traveling Alone” by Jason Isbell
“Abandoned Masquerade” by Elvis Costello
“To Be Alone With You” by Sufjan Stevens
“Abandoned” by Lucinda Williams
“Tired Of Being Alone” by Al Green
Ah! These are wonderful! I hope love abandoned stuff! I have the Beauty In Decay collection from Urban Explorers. You’d love it. 😃

Is that the dude that photographs all the abandoned buildings? Those are terrific. There’s a beauty in The sadness of something left to the hands of time, thats for sure. 😃

Yes, that’s the one! They are great subjects for photography and I can’t believe some of the beautiful spaces that have been left to decay!

It really is sad. I remember seeing one of an abandoned library. Books everywhere, all over the floor at the feet of rotted and fallen shelves. Just left. Wtf? The backstories have to be totally interesting. 😃

I agree! It is one of those books I pull out for inspiration once in a while. Haven’t done that recently though… maybe I should. Get past the old writer’s block!

Uh oh. Not the dreaded demon?!? 😳
That seems to be a common thread amongst you writers. I get it too. J gets it with her painting. Musicians too. It sucks. Just gotta go hunt for the inspiration sometimes. Doesn’t always come freely. But if you’re looking….. 😊

I think I just have to get the slate clean for the new year and start fresh, you know? I’m still editing Breaking Bread. And I still need a new title… Any ideas? 🧐

For Breaking Bread? Hmmm. I’ll have to think about that one. 🤔

Yeah, if you search the title in Amazon it brings up religious books and cook books!

Oh. Well, that’s a problem. Hmmm. Do you have any other potentials?

Since Maya had no help or support from her family, I was trying to come up with something about standing alone, going it alone, or something like that. But I was hoping for a clever play on words! The other thing would be something about the rival cafe going in across the street but I can’t come up with anything in that vein either!

Ok, that gives me a bit to go on. I’ll run it past J and see if can come with something. 😃

I’m a big fan of ships, so of course that one was my favorite!

Hahaha! Me too! I love ships, and ship wrecks. We’ve dived a few over the years, and it’s fascinating for some reason. Such a mystique and tangible aura to them. 😃

I love the car picture. I love looking at pictures of abandoned places. There was an abandoned old asylum near here once upon a time but it’s since been torn down. Unfortunately, I didn’t know about it until it was gone… but I’ve found many pictures of it. It’s fascinating what gets left behind… not just the building… but stuff inside.

I know, right? I was just talking to Doc about that guy who shoots abandoned places. Beautiful photography, but so bizarre and sad. People just up and left. Everything. It’s crazy. Like something out of a doomsday movie. “Hellooooo!….. hellloooooool!!!!……..”. 😃😃

Totally freaky when there medical supplies and equipment left behind in some abandoned hospital… yet I can’t look away…

Beautiful pictures. I love the one of the child flying a kite, why do I think he might be alone but he is not lonely?

Hahaha! Thanks so much. No, he’s likely not lonely, with twin brothers he probably relishes what alone time he does get. 😃
Nice to meet you, by the way. 😊
