Time for this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography.

Here are Cee’s questions for the week:

What caring thing are you going to do for yourself today?

Takin’ it easy this morning and then going to a New Year’s weekend flea market with my wife and boys.  It’s nice to not have any set plans, to sleep in, and then do something fun, especially after the busyness of the past week and a half.  A chill day is just what the doctor ordered.

List at least five of your favorite spices? (excluding salt and pepper)

Garlic powder, cayenne, allspice, onion powder, and cumin.

What can you always be found with?

Sad to say, but my phone.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

Being the end of the year, and thinking about those we’ve lost over the past 12 months, particularly those icons of music that have inspired us, energized us, been part of the timeline of our lives and memories, given us emotional support in our good times and bad, and blessed us with their art.

In honor of just a few of those we lost this year, my songs of the day are:

“Walking To New Orleans” by Fats Domino

“Reelin’ In The Years” by Steely Dan (Walter Becker)

“Ahead By A Century” by The Tragically Hip (Gordon Downie)

“Highway To Hell” by AC/DC (Malcolm Young)

“Blood And Roses” by The Smithereens (Pat DiNizio)

“Ain’t It A Sin” by Charles Bradley

“Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart” by Chris Cornell

“Midnight Rider” by The Allman Brothers Band (Greg Allman)

“Memphis Tennessee” by Chuck Berry

“Its Good To Be King” by Tom Petty

  2. Yes, lots of loss this year. Has it always been like this and I’m just paying more attention cause I’m getting older?

  3. I hope you had a really nice and relaxing day. We lost some tremendous talent this year – the 2 suicides are especially hard to take. Maybe Dee is right about loss – we’re just paying more attention… 💙
