Time for this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography.

Here are Cee’s questions for the week:

What one word describes you best?

What is set as the background on your computer?

On my iPad:

On my laptop:

On my phone:

If you have been to a foreign country name those you have been too?

Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, England, France, Spain, and Germany.  I think that’s about it.  Going to Italy for a wedding this June, with a stop in the Netherlands for an overnight layover in Amsterdam, so I’ll have those stamps soon, I suppose.

What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

A visit from a former patient, who dropped by to say hello, check in with us, and bring us cookies.  She’s now home, doing well, living independently, and even returning to work in the coming weeks, following a pretty severe illness.  It makes me feel like my work….well, worked.  It’s rewarding to see a success story, and it’s inspiring to watch someone fight to overcome low odds, yet put in the work and have success.

My songs of the day are:

“Honest” by The Chainsmokers

“Picture Book” by The Kinks

“Honest Feedback” by Saint Motel

“Frail Grasp On The Big Picture” by The Eagles

“Be Honest” by Jason Mraz

“A Picture Of A Broken Heart” by Robert Cray

“To Be Completely Honest” by Dawes

“What’s Wrong With This Picture?” by Van Morrison

  1. Beautiful shots of your family! So the wedding is back on? Yay, Italy! And Amsterdam. Woo hoo! Very cool about your patient. Makes the job worthwhile!

  2. So jealous – wish I could travel like that. Don’t know what my first choice for a destination would be though. Perhaps Thailand, but the US of A, I always wanted to go.

  3. Cool list, and great pictures of the boys and the Mrs!
I must say, I got a heart pinch when I read the word “stamp”…. I was about to tell you why, but I know myself, and I might break your comment box. I’ll post about it this afternoon LOL Thanks for bringing back the (painful, you’ll see) memory! xx

  7. I love the story about your patient. And I’m jealous that you’re going to Italy. Take pictures for me. And have some delicious food for me. And basically do everything and I’ll pretend it was me. 🙂

    • Hahaha! Yeah, I can promise I’ll take plenty of pics…and eat plenty of food. The wedding was supposed to be last summer, but she delayed it. We’ll see if it happens this year. 😏

      • It’s best to be sure before marrying. But then, of course, you still never know what will happen down the road…

Are you going with just your wife or the whole family?

      • Just the two of us. Her friend is our age, 50, no kids, never been married. She wants a child-free event, small. I don’t like not having them go. I’ve never met the guy she’s marrying, but he comes from money, evidently. Family owns a vineyard outside Florence. It’s all very hoity toity, and not really my style, but I’m super stoked about being in Italy…and Amsterdam! Maybe more so Amsterdam, actually. Anyway, It all seems a little too “convenient” to me, but I certainly wish her the best. This may be telling, but she isn’t selling her house in Seattle, even though she’s gonna be moving to Italy. That sounds like CYA to me. 😏

      • Interesting. Marrying for the money and the Italian home… but keeping her options open? Hmm…

Maybe I should have married for money. Ahem. I am a bad person!

I’m not sure I could take a trip without the kids. I worry WAY too much. I might not be able to enjoy myself.

I can’t imagine why Amsterdam appeals to you so much. No, seriously… it’s one of the places I never got to when I was in Europe and I regret not finding time to go… for the same reason. And others, too. 🙂

      • Ha! Yeah, there’s a definite reason for looking forward to Amsterdam, but it’s certainly not the only one.

As for marrying for money? Not a good choice, I don’t think. Nor for security, companionship, or great sex. All of that isn’t enough in and of itself. Keeping her options open speaks volumes to me about where her head is. I hate that for her. I’d rather she marry a pauper but be head over heels for him. 😕

      • I know what you mean… but my head isn’t right about this stuff at the moment… 😐 🙂

      • I hear ya’. I didn’t mean anything by that, by the way. I just hope she’s doing this for the right reasons. Unfortunately, I have my doubts. 😕
