  1. I love the b&w photos.

Don’t Walk Away Renee, by some 60s group that I forget right now.

VENTURA HIGHWAY by America, which is the best song ever pretty much in some moods.

I’ll let you take those in and I’ll go huff the old coffee grounds from the kitchen floor, since I’m on a roll and don’t want to stop. Back in a minute with an energised attitude.

    • I’m not a huge Elton John fan, but that’s a great song. 😃

      • I am a huge fan of his older stuff–Tumbleweed Connection is excellent, in my opinion. A lot of his stuff is hit or miss for me, but some i love. I also love him as an out and proud personality who does tons of charitable work and is funny. He was superb at the free concert he did in Central Park in about 1980–it was crowded and great.

      • Oh, don’t get me wrong. He’s a terrific guy and humanitarian, no doubt about that. Just not such a fan of his music. Though what o do like is definitely his older stuff. 😃

  3. The Eagles: Seven Bridges Road and Life In The Fast Lane, and pretty much all their songs have to do with roads some way or other–

  4. Walk This Way by Aerosmith! I’ll spare you all the CAPITALS, but it does my flaccid ego good to get all these today without cheating.

  6. Gimme Three Steps by Lynyrd Skynrd, which was said by a friend of mine from the South to be a really valuable song in saving people’s lives, since there was a duelling-type custom of men shooting or punching out any men who offended them at bars. This gimme three steps meant the offender could take off without getting killed right there, as a form of backing down to being non-alpha male. Culture!

  14. I am finding that on this thread, I sometimes reply to me in a thread instead of you, and I have no clue if you see it unless you go to your page. Some of your replies are only visible to me there too, and not in the little alert thing. Ah, the wages of actually knowing some songs sometimes–

  18. Wow! Nice selection of B&Ws. I particularly like the Boardwalk, with all the shadows and wood! With B&W you can really see the contrast and play of light!
