    • Hahaha. I haven’t really even shown some of the ones from Amsterdam! This place is stunning. 😳

      • Hahaha. Most of those were taken with my real camera and I neglected to bring our laptop, so I can’t download yet. On the plane in Amsterdam now though, in Chicago 8.5 hours from now. I’ll get to posting….as soon I’m not jet lagged. 😃

      • Coming west is always harder for me. Hope your recovery is easier! 🤞

      • Sitting in O’hare as we speak. It feels like it should be midnight, but it’s only 6:30. Jet lag is kicking in. 😜

      • I hope you have a day to recover … I’m so happy you had such a fabulous trip!

      • Nope. I have to work tomorrow. And our flight has been delayed twice here at O’hare. Should’ve been home already and haven’t even gotten on a damn plane yet. Flying sucks ass. 😠😠

      • Ugh! That does suck! Stormy weather?

      • I have no clue. The flight prior to us at this gate was to Milwaukee and it was delayed too. They loaded everyone on the plane though, and they sat there for 40 minutes. Saw this one guy come to the gate with ticket in hand but it was past the point of boarding. Wouldn’t let him on the plane….even though the plane was just sitting there still. It’s maddening.

      • Oh that is ridiculous! I hope you got a food voucher! 😡

      • Nope. They cancelled our flight officially, after 4 delays, going from a scheduled departure at 7:20pm central time and eventually called at around 11:30pm central. They graciously (that was sarcasm, by the way) rescheduled us a flight for 5:00am on Wednesday….which we weren’t going to wait around for, obviously. Nobody at the gate could tell us why, then Word spread about high winds in places and dense fog in others. I don’t really know why the fuck, but there were flights to Columbus, Detroit, Pittsburgh, New York, Milwaukee and on and on that went through the same torturous process as our flight. Desperate hunt for rental car ensued, as everyone else whose flights were cancelled were seeking rental cars….and hotel rooms, as well. Finally found a rental from a place I’d never even heard of, PayLess Rental Car, around 1:00am and we just now got home after a 6 hour drive. Flying sucks ass! We were lucky though. From Chicago to our house is manageable, even though the jet lag and delays make it feel as though we’ve been up for 26 hours or so. The gate next to ours had a flight to Salt Lake City delayed multiple times and eventually cancelled, and that’s not a manageable drive. It was either a hotel or airport for those poor souls. And it was the last, and shortest, leg of the trip, so it could’ve been more problematic….like getting stuck in Amsterdam, which would’ve totally screwed us. Still not sure what the hell the deal was. 😒😒

      • Wow! That’s a nightmare! I’m so sorry the trip had to end on a low note! Bleh…. but I’m glad you’re home safe. I hope you can take an extra day off considering… 😳

      • I did. I was planning on working today. Boss had a heart and said it was covered if I needed it…and I did. Forcing myself to be awake now to prevent being up all night. 😃

      • That’s what you have to do … hang in there and just go to bed early!
