This week’s One Word Photo Challenge from Tourmalinenow is for the topic:

PORTRAIT

For my portraits, I went with just a few of the Victorian ladies of Apalachicola.

Here’s my take on it:

My songs of the day are:

“Portrait” by Alt-J

”Lady Madonna” by The Beatles

”Portrait Of Jennie” by George Benson

”Lay Lady Lay” by Bob Dylan

”Bad Self Portraits” by Lake Street Dive

”Foxey Lady” by Jimi Hendrix

”Portrait Of A Fool” by Conway Twitty

”Old Laughing Lady” by Neil Young

  1. A clever take on the topic. I could manage to live quite happily in any of those ladies, and with those songs playing in the background I’d be quite happy!

  3. I adore Victorian architecture! I always wanted a turret room as my bedroom – with a hidden staircase of course! These are gorgeous!

    • Aren’t they great? This is merely a small sampling too. Tons of them in the historic district. It’s a rarity to find a place on the Florida coast that hasn’t been over-developed. Apalach still has an old-Florida vibe…and I sure as hell hope it stays that way.

  5. I love the last one. My favourite kind of house. The thing is these ladies are kind of high maintenance 😊
