This week’s Share Your World is, in lieu of Cee going on a sabbatical, unofficially brought to us by SparksFromACombustibleMind.

Here are the unofficial questions for the week:

Have you ever been in a food fight?

I can’t say that I have, no.  Though, I have ended up with food on me because of a fight.  Once, in a Steak & Shake in Indianapolis, the manager and a waitress got into a shouting match, across our booth.  It came down to some shoving before it was broken up, and we had a tray of food dumped onto the floor right next to us.  I ended up with milkshake all over my legs and shorts.

How do you deliver bad news?

Gently, but fairly bluntly.  Beating around the bush doesn’t help anything.  Might as well get to it.  But gently.

What (if anything) do you think is beyond the stars?

I have no idea.  It’s a rare human that can truly wrap their mind around the notion of infinity.  No beginning or end.  Mortal thought demands parameters.  If we are to believe what’s known thus far, there is no end, just more stars and galaxies and solar systems.  It’s hard to grasp.

What “redneck” (unsophisticated) activity do you like to do?

Lots.  Camping, and by that I mean roughing it, back country, off the trail tent camping.  I like four wheeling around a soggy trail through the woods.  I love fishing, primarily saltwater, but also a good farm pond.  I like bowling.  I like my truck….no, I love my truck. I like field parties and bonfires, tailgates and coolers.  I have been known to donn a pair or two of overalls.  I like bluegrass music and watching it at an outdoor hootenanny.  I could go on.  I like to think I’m somewhat sophisticated.  Somewhat.  I’m educated.  I’ve travelled.  I’m open minded and well-read.  But, I’m still just a Kentucky boy at heart.

Is there a scary scene from a movie (or book) you viewed a child that still haunts you?

Not really.  Though I do recall stumbling onto my parents watching Rosemary’s Baby one night.

Come to think of it, this may be why I hate dolls!

Last (rock trivia courtesy of Glyn), which true to form I won’t answer.  I wanna see if anyone (besides Glyn) knows the answer:

Seal’s ‘Kiss From A Rose’ was the theme from which film?

I didn’t know this answer, no.  I admit, I had to google it.  Now I see why I didn’t know the answer.  I was never a Batman films fan.

My songs of the day are:

“Food Fight” by Digital Underground

”Kiss From A Rose” by Seal

“Bad Bad News” by Leon Bridges

”Dear Rosemary” by Foo Fighters

”Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing” by Chris Isaac

“Stars Over Your House” by Bob Schneider

”Night Of The Living Rednecks” by The Dead Kennedy’s

”Batman Superman Spiderman” by Rod Stewart

  1. Those ‘redneck’ activities? Sounds like a blast! And not dependent on your lifestyle/education or what not. Just good old fun! Did I ever tell you I fly fish? I have waders and everything!

  2. Great answers! I admit I’ve been worried that ‘redneck’ might be misconstrued, but to ME (who is pretty danged redneck) it’s an ATTITUDE, not a person or geographical location’s populace. So glad you get into the spirit of that..and I forgot about overalls. I own three pair myself…
