Time for this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography.

Here are Cee’s questions for the week:

A class you wish you would have taken?

Spanish.  I took French, and it’s rarely come in handy.  However, over 20 years of working as a therapist, I’ve worked with dozens of patients whose native tongue is Spanish.  It would’ve been much easier on all involved if I spoke it too.

Are you scared of heights?

Not especially, but being super high up, like in a skyscraper or right out on the edge of a sheer drop is not necessarily my comfort zone either.

Are you a good cook? If so, do you consider yourself a chef?

I’m a pretty good cook, yes.  The way our schedules work out, i leave earliest, so my wife has kid duty in the morning.  I get kid duty in afternoons, practices, shuttling here and there, homework assistance, and dinner.  So yeah, I can cook.  Chef?  Not exactly.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

A solid start to the school year.  Everything went smoothly.  ARC meetings were successfully carried out, the boys’ alarms have been set AND heeded, no morning snafus, and no homework to speak of.  That’s a week to be grateful for.

My songs of the day are:

”Withering Heights” by Ryan Adams

”School” by Supertramp

”First Class” by Rainbow Kitten Surprise

”Cook Of The House” by Paul McCartney

”Heights” by Matisyahu

”Chemistry Class” by Elvis Costello

”High School Confidential” by Mudcrutch

”Too Many Cooks” by Robert Cray

  1. I think a fear of “extreme” heights is not only natural, it is necessary. It is just self-preservation, and people who don’t feel it might look cool on YouTube, but if they are not cautious, it will push them to do stupid, dangerous “hey look at me, man!” things…

  4. Great answers. And Spanish is definitely our second language now and very useful. Hope the kids are happy to do something different for a few days, before reality sets in and they realize they are back in school.

  5. Back to school, the end of Summer. It goes so fast. Fear of heights? Yes. 🙂

  6. Ah, my dad insisted that I take Spanish instead of French and I’m really glad he did! I can read it better than speak it but I can follow a conversation if the person speaks slowly. It’s come in handy more than once! Hey you should listen to a Spanish lesson podcast, it’s not too late to learn! 😃

  7. I didn’t take a foreign language in school. Knowing spanish would make things a bit easier though. It’s not to late to learn.

  8. I agree about Spanish, it would have been helpful working in TX and CO. Sounds like you’re totally organized with school. Nice!😊
