Time for this week’s Pull Up A Seat Photo Challenge from XingfuMama.

Here’s my take on it:

My songs of the day are:

“Sit Down, Stand Up” by Radiohead

”Sit Back And Dream” by Portugal. The Man

”Don’t Sit On My Jimmy Shands” by Richard Thompson

”Sit Down And Cry” by Aretha Franklin

”I Cannot Sit Sadly By Your Side” by Cowboy Junkies

”Sit This One Out” by Solomon Burke

”Sit Down I Think I Love You” by Buffalo Springfield

”Sat In Your Lap” by Kate Bush

  1. Yay cats in seats and yay Kate Bush. I used to sing her all the time and loved it, and oddly just listened to all her stuff again this past week.

There’s that one by Yes from the album 90125–no idea what the title is, but the words talk about sit down and stand up–might be Changes, which has some great odd percussion to it. We’ve also mentioned Stand And Deliver by Adam and the Ants, so now is a good time to mention it again, just to be contrary since it implies one is sitting!

    • Hahaha! Not a game, per se, just a prompt from someone I follow. The idea is to inspire to take shots of seating of any kind, in this example. For photographers, it’s fun to see what you can come up with or find in the archives. 😃

  5. Is there a story behind that last one? Nice cozy ditch?

  7. Love the balcony seats! I would love to have my morning coffee out there every morning. So funny that your commenters were all talking about Yes! I’ve seen them in concert three times, twice with Jon Anderson and once with Trevor (I forget his last name) – some of the greatest shows I’ve even seen!
