This week’s A Photo A Week Challenge from  Nancy Merrill Photography is for the topic:

BLACK & WHITE

Here’s my take on it:

My songs of the day are:

“Paint It Black” by The Rolling Stones

”White Light/White Heat” by Velvet Underground

”Fell On Black Days” by Soundgarden

”White Shoes” by Emmylou Harris

”Black Hair” by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds

”White Punks On Dope” by The Tubes

”Holdin’ On To Black Metal” by My Morning Jacket

”White Ashes” by Peter Gabriel

  1. You know I love B & W…miss the photography part of my blogging……losing the vision in my eye has me missing it even more…hopefully this clears up and when it does, my camera is getting dusted off 😊

  2. Great photos. I can’t come up with many songs right now, but how about a Bowie album, Black Tie White Noise, from the (post-) Thin White Duke himself? I’d also go for Black Star, album and song, by him…

    • I love Bowie. Surprisingly, his last album may have been my favorite. That’s super rare. Unbelievable talent. 😕

      • The two videos made me cry and cry, and I prefer the video version of Lazarus to the album version. He was great. There are albums of his that I love–Young Americans, Low, Christiane F., and a lot has to do with the time period that I heard them. When I passed I bought a few I hadn’t known and love those too, or at least parts of them. I love love love him, and I still wear a single black star earring all the time as a memorial for him.
