  1. That sound a tree makes when it’s broken just sends chills. It’s amazing.

    • Sure is. Really something when a big storm, or ice storm, breaks dozens. That big uprooted one was an old, old maple. It was gigantic, and on our side yard. It fell during the remnants of Hurricane Ike. Tropical storm force winds even this far inland. We heard it snap then “BAM!”! It would taken out our kitchen if it had fallen that direction. Intense, man. 😳

    • Hahaha! No raccoons were harmed in removal from under my house. He was relocated next to a perfect stream. The tree, though? That sucked. It was a beautiful old maple. Outta my control, unfortunately. 😕
