This week’s A Photo A Week Challenge from Nancy Merrill Photography is for the topic:
COMMUNICATION
Here’s my take on it:
Is that a guide? Looks like they are giving an antimated speech

Yep, from the National Park Service. It was so hot that day that the rangers were having to explain they may have to close access to the lighthouse if the temp got to 105F inside. At the time of her talk, she said it was 103F inside. It’s 250 steps to the top, so when it’s that hot they have to educate, and some shouldn’t attempt the trip up.

I can see that would be a huge problem. People fainting probably falling like dominos
Even at 90s temps. Yikes

It’s unreal how hot and humid it gets inside those. About every 3 stories or so there are windows along the way. But, unless you stand right in front of one, you get no breeze. Once up top and on the observation deck it’s like heaven though.

Hahaha. Yeah, she was, but had to be that day. It was a talk on the heat inside the lighthouse and that we may be asked to come down if the temps reached 105F inside. It was 103F at the time. I can tell you that it felt like 203F climbing those stairs…all 250 of them. 😃
