Right? It’s from Ocracoke, a couple years ago. I’m afraid it’s gonna look a lot different this year. Dorian flooded the entire island, and the storm surge wiped all the dunes out. They were huge this past summer, most 20-30’ tall. Now, just flattened. 😕

Yeah, it was. Honestly, it only side swiped the island, and made landfall at Hatteras. But, the storm surge as it passed then the wraparound surge once it was north of the island, just inundated them with water. Hurricanes suck. Change places forever.

They sure do and they’re only getting worse. And getting worse really fast! Who can even imagine what the next few years might dump on us?
