Generally speaking, I don’t do award posts any longer.  I’ve been at this a while now, and those types of posts are usually reserved to promote or help new-to-the-game folks.  But, every now and then, I get one from an old friend, and I can’t say no.

So, my French-Canadian buddy, Cyranny at the Cove, threw this one my way:

I really appreciate being recognized by my long-time peers.  It’s…I don’t know…validation of ones efforts?  Anyway, I never take it for granted and always feel thankful.

That said, as always, there are questions involved.  So, without further adieu, here are hers:

How do you think 10-year-old-You would feel about Today-You?

I think he’d be pleased with who we’ve turned out to be.  He’d be happy to see that a family was in his future, but likely 100% surprised to learn he’ll live on a farm.

Share one thing from your bucketlist (you haven’t made a bucketlist? There must be things you hope to accomplish before you die, right? Just pick one, hehehe)

I’ve done a bunch of stuff that an adrenaline junky would be into.  But, there’s one thing I haven’t tried…yet: skydiving.  I will though.

Have you ever read a fellow blogger’s book? What book was that, and can you link the author here?

I have.  My friend Meg Sorick(aka Doc…to me, at least) has published several books, and I’ve read most.  Most recently was:

What’s your favorite foreign country and why?

Well, I haven’t been everywhere I’d like to try, but I have been to several.  England, Canada, Italy, Mexico, Dominican Republic, The Netherlands, France, and Spain.  Of these, Italy is my favorite.  The light is just…different there.

Who’s the last person you wrote a real letter to?

Oh, lord.  It’s been so long since I’ve actually written a letter, I couldn’t tell you who it was written to.

What are you the most proud, about your blog?

I’ve been consistently attentive to it, I’ve engaged dozens of people I feel are now friends, and I feel it’s generally visually appealing.

What do you like the most about The Cove?

Well, the host/author/French-Canadian cha-cha’er.

What’s a word you wish you’d never hear again? Why?

Moist.  I don’t know why, but it really gives me the heebies for some reason.

What’s the biggest ”from you, to you” gift you ever got yourself?

My first real camera.  I lusted it for a long time, then eventually splurged, long before I could really afford to.  Still have, and use, that old Nikon SLR.  It’s like a favorite pair of old blue jeans.

My kayaks, and subsequent roof rack systems needed to haul them, are another me-gift.

Tell me something you wish people knew about yourself, that most people don’t?

I don’t know, man.  I’m not really into people knowing everything about me.  My usual stance on such things is predominantly the less they know, the better.

So, there you have it.  Thanks again to Cyr for the nomination.  As per my usual, no nominations or questions.  I do hope you’ll give Cyranny a visit though.
